As an Alcohol/Drug Counselor I have, learned many things, but most importantly that addiction is a very personal, internal battle. The best person to develop an effective, successful treatment plan is the Addict! My job is to assist persons with chemical use issues to determine the best process to deal with their addiction. My background and experience comes from my own extreme chemical use issues and extended recovery as well as college-level training. I accomplished my Licensed Alcohol Drug Counselor Certification in 2014. I interned with “Addiction Recovery Technologies” out patient treatment in Mankato and worked as a full time counselor for about two years.I retired from there and worked with the homeless community in Mankato assisting folks. I am also the MADD (Mother’s Against Drunk Driving) coordinator for Blue Earth and Nicollet Counties. I worked for Catholic Charities for about one year working primarily with college students. For fun, I play rhythm guitar and sing in a successful country-type band in Mankato. I also play pickleball/racquetball regularly. I have six Children and two Grandchildren whom I adore!
